A: Registration for the 2014 Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole Run will close on June 10, 2014 or when the maximum combined field of participants has been reached.
Q: How do I confirm my entry to the Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole Run?
A: All on-line registrations will be confirmed via email. If you mail your registration, you can check to see if it has been processed via the Confirm Entry link on the top right hand side of the Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole Run homepage at Rocknsolerun.com.
Q: What time do the events start?
A: The Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole Half Marathon & Quarter Marathon begin at 7:00 am CST on June 14, 2014. The Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole 5K begins at approximately 7:20 am CST on June 14, 2014.
Q: Where can I get my results for the Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole Run?
A: Results will be posted on the Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole Run website during the event. A printout of your results can be obtained on race day in the Results Tent, which is located in the Post-Race Party Area. Archived results will be available at Rocknsolerun.com following the race.
Q: Where do I get my race number?
A: Race bibs will be available for pick up during the Health & Fitness Expo on June 12 and 13 at the Italian Community Center, 631 East Chicago Street, Milwaukee, WI 53202.

Q: Where are the Aid Stations?
A: 10 Aid Stations for the Half Marathon will be at the following locations: Mile 1.25, Mile 2.75, Mile 4.25, Mile 5.75, Mile 7, Mile 8.5, Mile 10, Mile 10.75, Mile 11.5, Mile 12.25 along with the Start and Finish Lines.
Q: Are there Misting Stations?
A: Yes, the Half Marathon will have at least 6 Misting Stations along the course.
Q: What if I can't finish the race?
A: There will be a bus following the last participants of the race. Anyone who cannot finish or keep up with the 16 minute/mile minimum pace can ride the bus back to the Post-Race Party.
Q: When does the race officially end?
A: The half and quarter marathons end at approximately 10:40 am CST. The 5K ends at approximately 8:20 am CST.
Q: Where can I check my gear during the race?
A: Gear Check will be provided for all participants. Participants may drop their gear in the Start Line Village and pick it up in the Post-Race Party Area following the event. Your gear will be transported from the start to the finish. Gear Check will be available from 5:30 am -12:00 pm and any unclaimed items will be brought back to the Summerfest Administration Office.
Q: How can I get seeded?
A: If you can run a half marathon distance in 1:48:00 or faster or a quarter marathon in 49:00 or faster, you can be seeded toward the front of the starting area. You may request seeding after registration with proper proof. You must provide proof in the form of results from a road race that has occurred between June 16, 2013 and May 26, 2014, that is at least a 5K distance. All submissions of seeding proof must be post-marked by May 30, 2014, no exceptions! To submit proof, please either email a link to your results at email@example.com or mail in your results to:

Q: Can I defer my registration until next year?
A: You may request to defer your registration up until June 6, 2014 to next year's race with a doctor's note to prove medical need. There are no refunds for the Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon or 5K events.
Q: What are the different awards divisions?
A: Awards are ONLY available for the Half and Quarter Marathons. Multiple age group categories:15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70+
Q: Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
A: Yes. If someone is picking up your packet, please have them provide your photo ID (paper or digital).
Q: Can I run in the 5K instead of the Quarter Marathon or Half Marathon?
A: Your Half Marathon or Quarter Marathon bib number will work in the 5K starting corrals. When you pick up your packet, you will receive a Half Marathon or Quarter Marathon bib and t-shirt. However, on race morning, simply place yourself in the 5K starting corrals.
Q: I have a friend who cannot participate in the event, can I take his/her place?
A: Each participant must have his/her own registration. In the event of an emergency, race officials must have emergency contact information on hand. Therefore, you are NOT allowed to participate using someone else's registration. There are NO exceptions to this policy!
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: There are no refunds for the Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon or 5K events.
Q: Can I switch which race I registered for?
A: Yes, you may change races until May 30, 2014 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that you will be charged any difference in registration fees when switching events, but will not be offered any refunds.
Q: What type of shirt will I receive in my registration packet? Is it gender-specific?
A: All registered participants for the Quarter Marathon and Half Marathon will receive a gender specific commemorative race technical t-shirt. These shirts are for participants only and will not be sold to the general public. 5K participants will receive a cotton t-shirt.
Q: Are the courses certified?
A: Yes, all courses are USATF certified.
Q: Will participants receive a finisher medal?
A: Yes, all registered participants will receive a finisher medal upon crossing the Finish Line.
Q: Is there an age minimum or maximum to participate?
A: Participants must be 16 years or older to participate in the Half or Quarter Marathon. There is no age limit for the 5K.
Q: What is the elevation change on the course?
A: The elevation change from Michigan Street to the top of the Hoan Bridge is 113 feet.
